Some Favorite Songs of a Dear Friend….

This has got to be the hardest post I have ever written. A very, very amazing & dear friend to me that I met at one of my Tori Amos concerts, has passed away suddenly & everyone involved & that has known her could not be more heartbroken. Since she loved to share music & introduce her friends to awesome new sounds, I thought in her honor I would post afew videos to introduce my readers to some of her most favorite singers, including, of course, Tori. Gold Dust is a song her, her Mom & myself absolutely love & it seems so appropriate right now….

Sights and sounds pull me back down another year – i was here i was here – whipping past the reflecting pool me and you, skipping school. Do i have- of course i have, beneath my raincoat, i have your photographs.  And the sun on your face i’m freezing that frame and somewhere alfie cries and says “enjoy his every smile You can see in the dark through the eyes of “Laura Mars”

How did it go so fast you’ll say as we are looking back and then we’ll understand we held gold dust in our hands…..

She adored this kooky, eclectic singer, Sia. She burned me all of her albums & I grew to love her craziness, too….

And, Regina Spektor. These 3 women she once told me were her top 3. This is my most favorite song from her. I know my friend loved it, too.
I am definitely reminded this week of all the Gold Dust I have been able to hold in my life thus far. xoxo
