Since moving down to SoCal, I have discovered a little gem of a place to get authentic fish tacos, nachos, even Sangria. Everything I love is usually just $6-8 dollars, and whats even better is, I can typically find a location nearby me even if I am not in Pasadena.
Where, you ask? Rubio’s!
I was so happy to connect with the Mexican food chain to bring you this post. With my “Free Eats” cards, I got the Salsa Verde Shrimp Tacos, which include avocado slices & their famous spices, along with rice & black beans. I treated my Mom to her meal of choice which is their Chicken Street Tacos combo plate, for under $7, you get three of their Street Tacos with beans & chips (or, if you’re like me, you can sub for rice.)
I also took an a la carte Mango Mahi Taco on a corn tortilla….one of the things that keeps me coming back to Rubio’sΒ is their awesome, friendly service, no matter what location I visit. Whether your taco usually comes with a flour tortilla, or you prefer black over pinto beans, they never say they cannot make it happen for you
They also have vegetarian options, as well as a great kids menu. Recently, they introduced their very own Sangria drink & as a red wine lover, I am lovingΒ this libation π Whether you’re looking for a casual spot for a quick-lunchΒ or hearty dinner, or a place to jump into for take out (like I did), Rubio’s is the perfect place. Plenty of gluten-free choices, too!
How would you like to see for yourself?
Rubio’s has offered one lucky reader of mine a $30 gift card. To enter, simply LIKE their Facebook page & let me know in the comments. For an additional entry, make sure you LIKE Along Comes Mary, too! Enter by November 1st. Good luck! π
(*Disclosure: Rubio’s provided me with their Free Eats cards for review purposes, & will be providing my winner with a gift card. All opinions are my own & I LOVE Rubio’s food.)
I liked both pages! π
Thanks, Ashley!!
Liked! Yum, I’ve actually never been to Rubio’s, but I have no idea why?:)
Cynthia, Cynthia….whats wrong with you?! π Hehe. They are delish!
I LOVE Rubio’s. So yummy!
I like them on Facebook. And I also like Along Comes Mary. π
Thank you so much, Karen!
Love it! Their chips are so crispy and their guacamole is delish. Hubster would totally order those tacos too. Thanks for the opportunity!
Their guac IS yummy!
i can’t get enough of Rubio’s and was happy to see they’re in one of my favorite towns up here =)
Oh, good! I wasn’t sure if they were throughout Cali π
I LOVE Rubio’s; we end up there 3 or 4 times a month for lunch!
That’s when I love it, too–I drive all day for work & usually pass by a few, so convenient!
that looks sooo yummy! no rubio’s in Canada! boooo
Booo! Maybe one of these days they will come your way, Tina!
I liked both pages. The shrimp tacos made me drool in my mouth and down my chin. Not pretty. Thanks!
Haha! They’re my most favorite! π
I love Rubio’s! The mango habanero tacos are amazing, and I love their HealthMex options. Great salsa bar & excellent service at all locations that I’ve been too. Fish tacos done right! I’ve liked both pages and will keep my fingers crossed for the gift card!
I don’t do fish, but luckily they have other options! I liked both pages.
Yep, that’s why my Mom got the chicken π I am opposite, I only eat fish! Good luck!
LOVE Rubio’s… and LOVE Along Comes Mary. π
Hehe, you’re awesome, Carolyn!
Omg, I lived on Rubio’s fish tacos and Korean bbq when I was pregnant. Still love those tacos, especially with the chipotle salsa. Ugh. Now I’m craving them!
They got the BEST salsa at the salsa bar, that green one, then the smoky one, it almost tastes like bbq sauce?! So good π
OK… because I read this, guess where we had dinner? π
YAY! That’s what the companies want to hear π
I liked Rubios and your page! Also, did you know Rubios will do anything on whole grain tortilla if you request it? I just had one of their bean & cheese burritos on whole grain tortilla for lunch today! Yum!
I did not, I think whole grain has wheat, no? (I sadly am gluten/wheat free for allergy concerns). Rubio’s is so cool about that though, I hate when places say they cannot do an adjustment for you, never a prob there π
Liked Rubios!
Like you! β€
I love Mexican food and Rubio’s is definitely a place that I go to often. π
Remember my huevos rancheros in Palo Alto?! π I love Mexican food, too!
I have liked both pages! Thank you for the opportunity to win a Rubio’s Gift Card! I want to try that Mango Mahi Mahi taco:)
I liked both pages, and I love rubio”s. I usually get the burritos and eat a load of chips with salsa π
Yummy! Good luck, Christina!
